Terms & Conditions

Version 1.1 — Effective 3 September 2026

Changes in this version

Version 1.1 updated Section 12 to describe the new self-service way to delete your account from within the app (Account > Delete account), alongside the existing option to ask us to do it for you.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of Grigg Predictor ("the app", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Paul and Emily Grigg Ltd (company number 13613943, registered office 8 Rectory Close, Maisemore, Gloucester, England, GL2 8FL). By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.

Prizes are covered separately in our Prize & Winner Selection Policy, and how we handle your personal data is covered in our Privacy Policy. Both form part of your agreement with us alongside these terms.

2. Who can use Grigg Predictor

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the app.

The information you give us when you register must be accurate — in particular, your real name and date of birth, since we rely on your date of birth to apply the right protections for younger players (see our Privacy Policy).

You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for anything that happens under your account. Let us know straight away if you think someone else has access to it.

3. Predictor team names and profiles

When you join a tournament, you choose a predictor team name that appears on leaderboards. Team names are automatically checked against a filter and may be rejected if they're offensive, impersonate someone, or breach these terms — if that happens, you'll be asked to choose a different one.

We may rename or remove a team name at our discretion if it breaches these terms, even after it's been accepted, and we'll let you know if we do.

If you upload a profile photo, it must be a genuine photo of you (or, for younger players, something appropriate — see Section 8) and must not contain anything offensive, illegal, or infringing someone else's rights.

4. How Grigg Predictor works

Grigg Predictor is a free, skill-based prediction competition — you predict the outcome of real sporting fixtures, and points are awarded based on how accurate your predictions are. Full scoring rules are set out in the app's Help pages for each tournament and sport.

Prediction windows close ahead of each fixture's kick-off. Once a window closes, you can't submit or change a prediction for that fixture.

We may change scoring rules, add new sports or formats, or otherwise adjust how the competition works — where a change is significant, we'll try to give you reasonable notice.

5. Mini-leagues

Any player can create a private mini-league and invite others to join by email or invite code. Mini-leagues sit alongside, and don't replace, the main tournament leaderboard. The person who creates a mini-league is responsible for who they invite into it.

6. The Griggle boost

Griggle is an optional points multiplier you can apply to a gameweek of your choosing. How many you get, and when you can use them, depends on what's been set up for that tournament — full details are in the app's Help pages.

7. Prizes

Where a tournament offers a prize, how a winner is determined, how prizes are fulfilled, and the rules around eligibility are set out in our separate Prize & Winner Selection Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Content moderation and reporting

We want Grigg Predictor to be a safe, friendly place to play, including for younger players. To that end:

  • team names are automatically checked by a filter before they're accepted;
  • you can report a team name, profile photo, or another player's behaviour that concerns you directly from their profile page, or via the Help & Contact page;
  • we review reports and may remove content, rename a team, or suspend or remove an account where these terms have been breached;
  • if you believe something on the app is illegal or seriously inappropriate, please contact us straight away using the Help & Contact page so we can look into it.
  • 9. Acceptable use

    When using Grigg Predictor, you agree not to:

  • impersonate another person, or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation with anyone;
  • post or upload anything offensive, abusive, discriminatory, illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights (including copyright);
  • harass, bully, or intimidate other players;
  • attempt to cheat, exploit a bug, or manipulate scoring or leaderboards;
  • use bots, scripts, or other automated means to interact with the app;
  • attempt to access another player's account, or any part of the app you're not authorised to access;
  • do anything that could damage, disable, or overburden the app or interfere with anyone else's use of it.
  • Breaching this section may result in your content being removed, your account being suspended or terminated, and, where content is illegal, being reported to the relevant authorities.

    10. Intellectual property

    Grigg Predictor, including its name, branding, design, and underlying software, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse it without our permission.

    Grigg Predictor is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any football club, league, competition, or other sporting body whose names, crests, or logos appear in the app. All such names, crests, and logos remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.

    11. Third-party websites

    These terms don't extend to any third-party website the app might link to — for example, an official club or competition site, or a news article referenced in fixture information. We're not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those sites.

    12. Suspending or ending your account

    You can stop using Grigg Predictor and delete your account at any time, either yourself from Account > Delete account in the app, or by asking us to via the Help & Contact page. This is permanent, and you won't be able to sign in again. Your personal data is deleted immediately; your past predictions and results stay in the league tables you took part in, under a neutral name, so other players' standings and history aren't affected. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

    We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if we reasonably believe your account poses a risk to other players, or if we're required to by law. Where practical, we'll tell you why.

    13. Availability and changes to the service

    Grigg Predictor is provided free of charge, and we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may add, change, or remove features, or suspend or stop the service entirely, at our discretion — where a change is significant, we'll try to give you reasonable notice.

    14. Liability

    Grigg Predictor is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, or for any loss arising from content posted by other players.

    Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for anything that can't legally be limited or excluded under English law, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

    15. Assignment

    You may not transfer or assign your account, or any of your rights under these terms, to anyone else. We may transfer or assign these terms ourselves — for example, if we restructure the business or transfer the app to another operator — and we'll let you know if we do.

    16. Entire agreement

    These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Prize & Winner Selection Policy, make up the whole agreement between you and us about your use of Grigg Predictor, and replace anything discussed or agreed before you accepted them.

    17. Changes to these terms

    We may update these terms from time to time, for example as the app changes. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and let you know if the changes are significant.

    18. Governing law

    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales, regardless of where you're playing from.

    19. Contact us

    If you have any questions about these terms, contact us via the in-app Help & Contact page.
