Cookie Notice

Version 1.0 — Effective 29 August 2026

Changes in this version

This is the first published version of this notice. Future updates will be summarised here — for example "Version 1.1 added an analytics cookie" — so returning players and parents can see what's changed without re-reading the whole thing.

1. What this notice covers

This notice explains the cookies Grigg Predictor uses, what each one does, and how long it stays on your device. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you use a website or app. Some cookies are essential for the service to work at all; others are optional, for example for analytics or advertising. Grigg Predictor currently only uses the essential kind — see below.

2. Cookies we use

These are strictly necessary — the app can't sign you in or keep you signed in without them, so they can't be switched off individually. Under UK PECR rules, cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you've asked for don't require separate consent.

CookieWhat it doesHow long it lasts
sb-...-auth-token (and related sb-... cookies)Set by Supabase, our authentication provider, when you sign in. Keeps you logged in as you move around the app.If you tick "Remember me" at sign-in: persists on your device for an extended period. If you don't: deleted automatically when you close your browser (a "session" cookie).

3. Cookies we don't use

We don't currently use any analytics cookies (to measure how the app is used), advertising or tracking cookies, or any cookies set by third parties for their own purposes. If that changes in future, we'll update this notice, and our Privacy Policy, before any new cookie is set — not retrospectively.

4. Managing cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Because our only cookie is what keeps you signed in, blocking or deleting it simply means you'll be signed out, or unable to stay signed in between visits — it won't affect anything else about how the app works.

5. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time, for example if we start using a new cookie. We'll post the updated version here with a new effective date, and — for anything beyond a strictly necessary cookie — we'll seek your consent before it's set, not after.

6. Contact us

If you have any questions about this notice or the cookies we use, contact us via the in-app Help & Contact page.
